Finishing the Healthy Ageing tour in winning ways

The final 124km stage was hard fought with crosswinds late attacks from general classification contenders but finished with bunch sprint with Kirsten Wild taking her second stage win and WNT-ROTOR Pro Cycling’s third victory in just as many days.

Wild showed her power and speed to comfortably win another stage adding her thirteenth win at the 5-day stage race. With it meaning Wild increased her lead and taking overall victory in the Points classification and cementing her 3rd place in the overall general classification.

Speaking with an ecstatic Wild after the race she had this to say;

“It was a really hectic race, towards the end there was some dangerous attacks up the road gaining time, so together with Canyon we had to close them down. The whole team did an awesome job! Because of their hard work it meant me and Lisa were fresh to make a good race of it at the final. It’s been a fantastic 5 days of racing!”

Wild wasn’t the only WNT-ROTOR rider making the walk to podium for the celebrations, after the attacking ride on day 4, Lisa Brennauer took home the intermediate sprints jersey to add to her collection. A brilliant five days for the whole team. We now look forward to the Ardennes classics and onwards. Hoping to keep this momentum of wins and strong performances going.

Race recap:

Stage 3 win: Kirsten Wild

Stage 4b win: Lisa Brennauer
