In the First Weekend of March, A Double Engagement in Tuscany

After the excellent start of the season at the “Trofeo Città di Ceriale”, culminating with the fantastic podium conquered by Letizia Borghesi and with the ninth place of Rasa Leleivyte, a double appointment awaits the Aromitalia – Basso Bikes – Vaiano team. Saturday 6 March, the team headed by Stefano Giugni, will line up at the starting line of the “Strade Bianche Women Elite”, an international competition valid as the opening round of the UCI Women’s World Tour 2021, the most important world event in trials multiple. 136 total kilometres of the race, characterised by eight treacherous stretches of famous dirt roads, for a total of 31.6 kilometres. The prestigious competition, hosted by RCS Sport, will start at 9:10 sharp from Siena and will end in the same location shortly after 13:00.

On Sunday 7 March, the Prato team will battle it out in the 2021 edition of the “Gold Trophy in Euro – Women’s Bike Race” scheduled on the Tuscan roads of Cinquale di Montignoso (MS). 106.8 the total kilometres of the race, spread over two distinct circuits: the first, almost totally flat, 13 kilometres long to be repeated five times and the second 20.9 kilometres long to be tackled twice with the fearsome climb to the GPM of the Fortezza. The competition will start at 13:30 from via IV Novembre in Cinquale di Montignoso (MS), where the final finish line will also be placed. The Aromitalia – Basso Bikes – Vaiano team jersey will be defended by the blue Giada Borghesi, Letizia Borghesi, Giulia Marchesini, Valentina Scandolara and Gemma Sernissi, and by the Lithuanian Olivija Baleisyte, Inga Cilvinaite-Cesuliene and Rasa Leleivyte.
