Who taught you how to ride a bike & how old were you?

My dad taught me how to ride a bike, but i don’t know exactly when. I was really young, maybe 3/4 years old. Then I started with cycling when i was 6.

What was your first ‘proper’ road bike & what colour was it?

i don’t remember the name of the model of my first road bike, but it was green and its name was “carrarmato” which is the italian word for tank.

What’s the most important piece of kit/advice that has helped boost your performance?

I can see an improvement in my performances when I start to be supported by the right people, who help me either to improve my performance or either to keep my balance. So my advice is: don’t think you can do all by yourself… people around you can help you a lot.

What’s your favourite routes/places to ride?

I love Tuscany, around Lucca and I love riding my bike there.

What tips do you have to keep the love of cycling going amidst all the training?

It’s hard! Maybe the most important was: be always honest with yourself happy with what you have done and with what you want to do.

What experiences are still to do on your cycling ‘bucket list’?

I have a lot of things to do, yet! My cycling bucket list is updating every day 😉 but I am a concrete person, my list is made of reachable goals…for example one of my wishes was to go to Spain for some training…and it will happen next month!
