Drops Cycling Team is pleased to announce that Sara Penton will join the team in 2020.
The 31-year-old Swedish rider joins the team after spending three seasons with Danish team Virtu Cycling. The former Swedish road race Champion will bolster our classics team and add a wealth of experience to our team.
Bob Varney, Team Director spoke about Sara “We are delighted to welcome Sara to the team for the 2020 season. She brings with her a wealth of experience in the international peloton that will prove invaluable to her younger teammates over the coming season. Sara is an aggressive rider who likes to take her chances in the breakaway and feels at home in the spring classics. She is a super-strong rider who will be a great addition to our squad.”
Sara spoke about her move to the team “I’m very excited to join the team as I have seen it grow in an inspiring way the past years. I am also looking forward to contribute to a strong teamwork and help guide the younger riders smartly and aggressively to a successful 2020.”
