Van der Breggen takes lead in Setmana Ciclista Valenciana

Marlen Reuser opened the race in the final 60 kilometers of the race. In this hilly stage Van der Breggen attacked on the final climb and jumped towards Reuser. She managed to close the 1.16m gap within 3 kilometers and overtook Reuser before the top of the mountain. What followed was a great solo of more than 30 kilometers. The pursuers couldn’t close the gap which remained a 20 seconds on their way to the finishline in Finestrat. With this stage win Van der Breggen also takes the lead in the GC.
