Who taught you how to ride a bike & how old were you?

I guess my parents when I was 2-3 years old.

What’s the most important piece of kit/advice that has helped boost your performance?

It was a blue and yellow steel bike, with shifters at the frame. I borrowed it from the local club before receiving my first second-hand alu bike for my solemn communion. A yellow/grey/red Massi with yellow Spinergy wheels.

What’s the most important piece of kit/advice that has helped boost your performance?

I don’t remember. Probably when I finished uni and started life as a pro, coached by my boyfriend. And suck his wheel every day.

What’s your favourite routes/places to ride?

Home! Which is a mix of Ardennes, Dutch Hills and Eifel region.

What tips do you have to keep the love of cycling going amidst all the training?

I was a perfectionist and blindly followed my training schedules. My training sessions sometimes became ‘tasks’. I learned to be more relaxed about numbers, and to listen more to my body. I’m more relaxed now, adapt training to how I feel and enjoy it!

What experiences are still to do on your cycling ‘bucket list’?

Travelling, a lot of travelling. It doesn’t matter where. But discovering the world on a bike is great!
